Victor Sira is a Venezuela-born photographer whose work has earned him numerous fellowships, including the Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship and the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship.


In 2008, he curated the Photography Book Dummies exhibition at the School of the International Center of Photography. His work has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions, including Rencontres d’Arles in 2005 and the De l’Europe show in Luxembourg in 2007. Sira has lectured at various institutions, including the ICP-Bard MFA Advanced Photographic Studies Program in New York, the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design, the School of Visual Arts' i3 Photo Lecture series, SUNY Purchase School of Art and Design, and most recently, he joined the faculty of the International Limited Residency MFA Photography Program at the Hartford Art School. Additionally, he is a
co-founder of Bookdummypess (bdp).
